2010 Lorinser Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift

Already since 1981 Sportservice Lorinser, located in Waiblingen/Southern Germany develops and produces exclusive tuning for nearly all Mercedes automobiles. The latest creation is a stylish individualization for the facelifted S-Class. Cultivated shapes are the hallmarks of the unobtrusive exterior design by Lorinser. Nothing seems flashy or artificial. All components perfectly go with the car body design. The company offers noble light-alloy wheels and exquisite accessories for the interior as well as powerful performance increase. This way, a wide range of individualization possibilities has been created to meet the highest requirements.

Already when defining the design, Lorinser perfectly adjusts the individual components of the aerodynamics set. The front with the newly designed spoiler bumper complements with the rear skirt, the roof spoiler and the rear lip in a harmonious way. Discreet side skirts are the visual connection between the front and rear part of the car. The new Lorinser S-Class exactly looks the way it drives: dynamic, agile and full of vitality, combined with the superior elegance of the upper class automobile.

In addition to the dynamic look, Lorinser offers powerful performance increase for the six-, eight- and twelve cylinder engines. By applying the Lorinser Diesel Module to the S 350 CDI, renders an additional output of 22 kW / 30 hp. For the twelve-cylinder top model, the Mercedes-specialist developed the performance kit LV 12 Biturbo. A newly programmed control unit, modified turbo charging and fuel injection as well as an optimized exhaust system with sports exhaust increase the engine performance of the S-Class by approximately 81 kW / 110 hp compared to the original power values. As the limitation of the top speed has been removed, the car now achieves 330 km/h instead of formerly 250 km/h.

A wide-ranging selection of wheel/tire combinations renders perfect grip. One of the highlights of the rim program is the polished 22 inch aluminum wheel type RS9. The modern style of the mono-block design reflects in the five slotted triple spokes. Precisely milled surfaces and modern processing techniques guarantee highest bearing loads at a low weight. The maximum dimension offered by Lorinser is a light-alloy wheel in the dimension 10x22 ET35 with 275/25ZR22 tires at the front axle and 10x22 ET40 with 295/25ZR22 tires at the back axle

In addition to the serial interior, Lorinser offers exquisite accessories. Chrome-plated pedals and door locking knobs perfectly complement the leather-edged floor mat set with an embroidered Lorinser logo and illuminated doorsills. If desired everything up to entire leather interior can be produced with hand-made precision.

2010 Lexus HS 250h Vehicle

For the most part, consumers previously desiring a vehicle high on fuel efficiency and luxury haven't had much to choose from. Toyota, for example, offers either its super fuel-efficient but bland Prius or not-that-efficient but otherwise premium collection of Lexus luxury hybrid vehicles like the LS 600h L. All of this changes with the 2010 Lexus HS 250h, however. Here, Lexus offers the opportunity to be pampered by your car while still doing your part to help reduce your carbon footprint.

Rather than just slap Lexus badges on a Prius or Camry Hybrid and call it a day, Lexus based the HS 250h sedan on a specialized platform not utilized by any other Toyota or Lexus hybrid. In terms of size, it's bigger than a Corolla but smaller than a Camry. As for the driving experience, though, it's all Lexus, with refined performance, a smooth and quiet ride and an impeccably trimmed cabin chock-full of the latest (but easily operated) high-tech features.
The HS 250h borrows its powertrain from the Camry Hybrid, which is both bigger and more powerful than that used in the Prius. This allows it to post a 0-60-mph time of 8.7 seconds -- fairly quick for a hybrid vehicle. As for fuel economy, the HS 250h has an EPA fuel economy estimate of 35 mpg in combined driving. This is significantly less than the Prius' combined rating of 50 mpg, but it's still the highest of any luxury-branded hybrid vehicle.
Underway, the 2010 Lexus HS 250h easily plays the role of upscale luxury car with a supple ride, a quiet cabin and competent handling. It also has just about every luxury feature one could wish for as either standard or optional, as well as the promise of upscale service treatment at the dealership. As with many luxury vehicles, however, it is all too easy to jack up the HS 250h's price with the various option packages.
If you like the idea of the Lexus HS 250h but find its price a bit too dear, you might also consider the Ford Fusion Hybrid or the Nissan Altima Hybrid, though the latter is sold in just a handful of states. Both offer an affable combination of economy, luxury and athleticism. For now, however, the HS 250h basically exists in a class of one, where premium brand luxury and presence can be had along with fuel economy that's superior to that of a subcompact economy car.

Mercury Milan Hybrid 2010

The instrument panel features SmartGauge, consisting of high-resolution LCD screens that deliver information to the driver to help encourage fuel efficient driving.

2011 Chevrolet Volt

This car uses a 16-kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery coupled with a 3-cylinder, 1-liter gasoline engine that powers a 53 kW generator.The Volt represents a completely new paradigm: a mass-produced, affordably priced, all-electric sedan sold in the U.S., specifically as a daily driver. If it succeeds, it could lead the way to GM's reinvention as a strong American automaker.
GM execs have said the Volt will go 230 miles on one charge, although the car has yet to get EPA certification. Top speed is 120 mph.
Estimated price is $40,000. Chevy execs have said the price will be determined in part by the price of gas.

Nano EV - Tata Motors electric car

Nano EV was unveiled by Tata Motors at the Geneva Motor Show. The car based on the Nano platform has an electric motor which is powered by polymer lithium ion batteries. The Nano EV has a claimed speed of 0-60kmph in under 10 seconds with a predicted range of 160km. It is also the second vehicle in the Tata motors portfolio to sport an electric powertrain after the Indica Vista EV, which is expected to go on sale in Europe sometime this year.

Tata Motors vice chairman, Ravi Kant said "Electrification will be an integral part of our initiative to launch environment-friendly vehicles. The Indica Vista EV will be introduced in select European countries beginning this year. We will progressively introduce electric vehicles in all relevant markets." The other vehicles on display from the Tata Motors portfolio include the Tata Aria, an MPV with prime SUV qualities, Indica Vista EV, Indigo Manza and the Xenon double cab pick-up vehicle.

Audi - The Four Rings Forever

At the behest of the State Bank of Saxony, which realised that its investment in Saxony's car industry was in peril, Audiwerke, Horchwerke and Zschopauer Motorenwerke/DKW merged to form Auto Union AG on June 29, 1932.
The new entity simultaneously concluded an agreement with Wanderer Werke on the purchase and lease of Wanderer's automotive division. The new group chose Chemnitz for its registered office. The symbol of this merger was four rings, the design that serves as the Audi logo to this very day.
Following its creation, Auto Union AG was the second-largest motor vehicle group in Germany. The brand names Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer were retained, and each of the four brands within the group was assigned a specific market segment: DKW for motorcycles and small cars, Wanderer for midsize cars, Audi for cars in the deluxe midsize segment, and Horch for luxury cars at the top end of the market.
To enhance its public profile, the new company decided in 1934 to enter motor racing at the very highest level – Grand Prix events. During the next few years the Auto Union "Silver Arrow" cars won countless races, championships and world records on racetracks in many different countries.
